Labor is just that, hard work. For me, labor can be physically, emotionally, and spiritually exhausting. Before the birth of my second child, I set out on a mission to find Bible verses that would be encouraging for me during labor. I made them into a list on my phone and was able to read through them before labor even began. Today, I’m going to share them with you in hopes that they can be as helpful to you as they were to me.
No matter the birth experience you desire, these KJV Bible verses are sure to be a blessing to you. Whether you plan to birth at home, a birth center, or a hospital, each of these verses are for encouragement and strength through a challenging time.

Laboring with a Verse on Your Heart
To use these verses during labor, I actually chose one verse that felt the most encouraging to me. Before I was in labor, I memorized this verse by saying it in my head and to myself over and over and over again. It takes me a lot longer to memorize verses than it used to, but I got it memorized finally.
During labor, I would recall the verse from my memory and could feel God’s presence with me. There is nothing like the peace of God, and the “peace that passeth all understanding” can only come from Him. My special labor verse strengthened my heart and encouraged me when I felt tired and overwhelmed.
I pray you can use these verses to be an encouragement to you in labor and in life.
