Bible Verse (TTT) Challenge, Part 9
Verse #33
Philippians 4:7 KJV
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Having the peace of God brings an unexplainable joy to your soul. The verse prior to this one is about bringing it all to God – praying about everything. This verse is what happens when we do pray about everything in our lives, both big and small.
When we give it to God, He takes it. It’s as simple as that. We need to cover all of our desires and burdens in prayer. Once we let God take control, we can rest in peace knowing His will is always the best. The peace of God is unmistakable, and He is ready to flood peace your way.
Verse #34
Psalm 139:23 KJV
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
In this verse, the psalmist so greatly desired to be close to God that he asked Him to search him.
It’s as if he said, “God, I’ve searched myself and purified my life to the best of my knowledge. Now, would You please search my heart, too. I don’t want anything separating me from You.”
Have we purified our hearts and minds to that extent? Are we ready for God to search our hearts? If we want to stay in close fellowship with Him, we must stay confessed before our God.
Verse #35
1 Peter 1:23 KJV
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
I’m so thankful for God’s incorruptible salvation. This verse is a great verse of assurance. Anything of man is corruptible, but that is not true with God. God’s love, His salvation, and His Word are perfect and eternal.
If you’ve never been born again, don’t wait. God’s gift of eternal life with Him is for you. God said that whosoever will may come, and whosoever includes you.
Verse #36
Colossians 3:23 KJV
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
This verse is the perfect reminder to not be focused on pleasing people, but rather to be focused on pleasing God. If you do something expecting praise from those around you, you might be disappointed. Instead, do everything for our Lord, and you will never be disappointed. People may not see how hard you work or even the corner you skipped, but God does.
This month, let’s work on doing all of our tasks thoroughly and joyfully for our Lord. Let us also pray heartily and rest in the eternal peace that only God can give.
