Welcome to Part 2! In case you missed it: Part 1.

How are you doing with the Think on These Things challenge? Personally, I’m praying to do better these next four weeks. Memorizing God’s Word is such an important part in our walk with Him, and one of the easiest things to skip over because we’re too busy.

Having a Bible verse always on our hearts is a wonderful way to keep our hearts in tune with Christ. How amazing would it be for God to call us “women after His own heart.” I’m striving this year to grow closer to God. In so doing, I will also grow closer to my husband and closer to my children.

KJV Bible Being Held Up by a Woman's Hand

Let’s go over the next four verses in the challenge!

Bible Verse (TTT) Challenge, Part 2

Verse #5

Joshua 1:9 KJV

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

In the midst of trials, fear is looming at every corner. While the trouble is too big for us, we serve an all-powerful Saviour. This verse doesn’t just suggest but actually commands us to not be afraid. Why? The verse continues by saying because the LORD is with us wherever we go. So, we don’t have to be afraid. We serve an Almighty God who will guide us and protect us each step of the way. Let’s not allow fear to keep us from trusting in God.

Verse #6

I Peter 5:6 KJV

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

It can be easy to become proud of “our” accomplishments. But, it’s important to keep that pride in check. God reminds us to humble ourselves, so He can exalt us. We are not worthy to praise ourselves. If there is praising to be done, let God do it. We don’t have to pat ourselves on the back. If we are doing the works of the LORD, God says He will exalt us in due time. When we remind ourselves just how small we are, we can remember just how great God is.

Verse #7

Psalm 19:1 KJV

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Even the sky is a testament to the glory of God. Just looking to the sky should remind us of our amazing Father who created this whole universe. I’m always aware that the most stunning and beautiful things I have ever seen are always something that God created, not something man made. Man can never even come close to making something that even compares to the splendor of His creation. Each day, let God’s heavens be a constant reminder of our glorious Creator.

Verse #8

Isaiah 40:29 KJV

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

God doesn’t want us to fail. He is a constant support for us in our everyday lives. During those challenging days when everything seems to be going wrong, take it to God. According to this verse, He will increase our strength. How wonderful to know that God is always there and an ever-present source of power for us.

God’s Greatness

Our God is great, and He deserves our praise. These next four weeks, let’s focus on the glory of God and praise Him for being our constant source of strength through every trial we may face.
